Okay...wow! Two posts in one day...what a treat! I promise this will be quick...H&H have recently learned (especially Hank) how to raise their eyebrows and everytime they do it (especially Hank...why is it always Hank?), we are rolling! It's sooo funny! In this video, it's really Hannah who's participating (you'll see a bit of Hank so I'll have to post another one) and it's pretty funny! And while we're on the subject of eyebrows, Hank came downstairs very upset and concerned about his eyebrows. When I asked him what was wrong, Hank said, "Mom, I don't have very much eyebrows" Laughing aside, I assured him they would grow in! See...it's just the small things like eyebrows that can really brighten your day!

Hank & his Hair...

So...as usual, we are scurrying to get out of the house to drop Peeper #1 @ Y-care (drop off #1) then Peeper #2 @ Hillcrest (drop off #2) and yes, this process takes about 45 minutes...but hey! nothing's forever...right? So...back to scurrying, okay, shoes & socks on, check...backpacks packed, check...coats on, check...out the door...wait! "Mom" (as blurted out by Hank), I need to go upstairs to do "something" (now, there's a scary word from a 4 year old)...so Hannah & I are headed out to the truck and lo & behold, here comes Hank...looking even more dapper than he was before he went upstairs! Before I could ask what Hank what he had been doing, he proudly announces, "Mom I had to fix my hair!" Did I tell say he's 4? And then Hank says, "Mom, now you don't have to comb my hair anymore!" Great..one less thing to do in the AM! So, now a couple of thoughts come to mind...first, yes, Hank is my husband's son and I now understand the "fluff" factor and second, the water spray bottle Hank came to get last night has now been put into effect. So...as you can see, it's never a dull moment @ the Phillips household...how did Torie & I fill our time before the peepers? Now..that's another kind of post ;)

It's been a long time comin'....

So...it's been awhile since I've been out here and yes, I'm getting back at it! As some of you may have seen on FB, I have many stories to share and yes, it always seems to be about the peepers. My latest peeper story happened while I was watching The Bachelor (yes, I'm admitting) and my two peepers seemed to think they needed to be watching The Bachelor with me (yes, I let them) instead of being in their bedde-byes! As you know with any kind of peeper (and let me clarify, my peepers are my two beautiful babies...Hannah - 6 & Hank - 4), there are many questions about every subject coming at you a mile a minute or second! So...back to The Bachelor, after watching for a few minutes, Peeper #1 makes a very wise observation (which points out to me that I really shouldn't be watching this trash) that she doesn't think passing out roses and making girls cry (who didn't get the rose) isn't very nice. Good point. I ask Hannah, "what do you think would be better" (and yes, we are actually discussing The Bachelor), Hannah comes right back and says, "Rock, Paper, Scissors!" I bust out laughing because she's just so sweet and so honest and I'm thinking...mmmm, this could solve a lot of issues...not just on The Bachelor, but in many areas...sibling disagreements, strategy meetings at work, domestic decisions and who's doing what, and the list goes on. Okay, first problem solved on The Bachelor. On the other hand (or on the other side of me) is Peeper #2 (Hank), who ususally takes everything in and then just blurts out what he thinks or wonders...my kind of boy! After Peeper #1 makes her comment/suggestion, Hank just sits back and says, "why does he like so many girls?" and follows up with, "it's not nice to make girls cry"...again, my kind of boy! The morale to this post? I continue to learn more everyday and many times right from my peepers! The see life so clearly and simple...I need to be more like my peepers.
